On the hunt for travel inspiration for my next big trip, I came across these individuals who take adventure travel to the next level! I hope their crazy stories of trips beyond some of my own wildest dreams inspire you to let your wanderlust run wild and free!
Following in their footsteps is not exactly feasible or practical for many of us, but let their experiences inspire travel plans that can still be life-changing. Watch this awesome video of how walking through China changed Christoph Rehage’s face (and life!).

If you watched the video, you’ll know all about this guy already. After living in Beijing for a year while studying, Chris decided to take his hobby of walking to the extreme and return to his native Germany on foot.
This was some trek, and Chris clocked up over 4,500 kilometres along the way. That was quite some feat, and the guy must have quite some feet on him! His timelapse video shows his face every day along the way and how he changed physically on the trip, while he also contemplates how the almost two years of walking changed him as a person – it’s well worth a watch.

Juliana Buhring
Guinness world record holder and all-round badass female Juliana only picked up cycling at the age of 30 in 2011, but by the end of 2012 she’d already set a Guinness World Record for being the fastest woman to cycle from Naples, right the way round the planet and back again. This trip involved clocking up over 29,000 kilometres in a short 152 days! She’s also the only woman who participated in the first ever Transcontinental Race from London to Istanbul in 2013.
Chris Davenport
Chris’ sparkling ski career has cemented his future in the hall of fame, and in his life he’s ticked off almost every major mountain on the planet! At the beginning of his career back in 1998, he summited a peak of 7,132m (23,400ft) near Everest and descended with no issues and almost no experience of mountaineering at high-altitude.
Next followed two world skiing championships and conquering every big mountain in Colorado and California, making him one of North America’s top 25 skiers. Nowadays you’ll find him making ski movies, and he’s starred in over 25 already!
